    Multi-Tier Shelving For Stock Storage

The client needed to transform a new store into a practical, organised and efficient trade supply environment.

The warehouse area needed to hold a large volume of boxed products and trade stock while keeping items easy for staff to locate and pick. The available floor space had to be used effectively, which meant building upwards and creating safe access to higher storage levels.

The customer-facing shop area also needed a strong, professional structure that could help define the layout of the store and support marketing displays, while keeping the area tidy and suitable for daily use.

UK Shelving supplied and installed a multi-level longspan shelving system designed to create a structured picking area for stock storage.

The system included long runs of shelving, multiple storage levels, integrated walkways and flooring supported by purlins. Metal staircases were installed to provide safe access to the upper levels, allowing the client to make full use of the available height within the building.

The shelving layout created clear picking aisles with labelled bay locations, helping staff organise and access stock more efficiently. Lighting was also incorporated throughout the aisles to support visibility across the storage areas.

Within the shop area, pallet racking was installed and fixed to the floor to create a strong structural framework for the shop-front layout and marketing displays. Timber decking was added to the beam levels to complete the customer-facing area.

Additional works were also completed, including extra pallet racking beams and further longspan bays to increase storage capacity where required.
